Electricity is my life. In an earlier life, I was an avionics (aviation electronics) mechanic. It beat working for a living. In the trade, we were known as Coneheads. Here is a little tip for the traveling public: If you see a mechanic with an electric meter heading towards the cockpit, you probably have time to get some coffee.
It is only natural I'd just have to tweak the electrical system of my old Jeep. I think I have electrons in my blood. Lots of people are surprised to see I've kept the stock 6 volt system. To me, it is a throwback to another era. It is a fantastic bragging point to pop the hood and have somebody recognize the 6 volt battery. Besides, the 6 volt system works just fine. About the only drawback is the fact that I can't listen to my Wayne Newton 8-tracks.
