Electricity is my life. In an earlier life, I was an avionics (aviation electronics) mechanic. It beat working for a living. In the trade, we were known as Coneheads. Here is a little tip for the traveling public: If you see a mechanic with a multimeter heading towards the cockpit, you probably have time to get some coffee.
It is only natural I'd just have to tweak the electrical system of my old Jeep. I think I have electrons in my blood. Lots of people are surprised to see I've kept the stock 6 volt system. To me, it is a throwback to another era. It is a fantastic bragging point to pop the hood and have somebody recognize the 6 volt battery. Besides, the 6 volt system works just fine. About the only drawback is the fact that I can't listen to my Wayne Newton 8-tracks.
